The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:-

The Isle of Wight Council (Marvel Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that at all times between Monday 20 October 2025 and Friday 31 October, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Marvel Lane, Newport, for its entire length, on-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Bridge maintenance work.

The Isle of Wight Council (Betty Haunt Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 20 October 2025, and Tuesday 21 October, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Betty Haunt Lane, Newport, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Culver Down Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Tuesday 21 October 2025 and Wednesday 23 October, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along South Street, Newport, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Steyne Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 22 October 2025, and Thursday 24 October, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Steyne Road, Bembridge, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Golf Links Road, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 22 October 2025, and Thursday 24 October, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Golf Links Road, Lake, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Kingates Lane, Niton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Tuesday 21 October 2025 until 1500 hours on Thursday 23 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, Kingates Lane, Niton will be closed to vehicles. The Isle of Wight Council (Copse Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 20 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 2nd February 2026, or when the works have been completed, Copse Lane will be closed for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (George Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of a One-Way Restriction) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 20 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Saturday 25th October 2025, or when the works have been completed, George Street will be closed for its entire length, on-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The one-way restriction will be revoked along George Street, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street & Market Hill, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0830 hours on Monday 20 October 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 24th October 2025, or when the works have been completed, High Street will be closed for its entire length, on-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The one-way restriction will be revoked along High Street and Market Hill, for its entire length, on-street signage will depict the exact extent of the revocation. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 17 October 2025 and Friday 16 January 2026 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 15 days or nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, lining and investigation surveys. Advance warning signage will be used at the works location to indicate the dates of the scheme. In any unavoidable following: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, road retexturing and white lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closures. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

The Isle of Wight Council (Green Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2025 – Green Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Queens Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Queens Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Clarence Road, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Clarence Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2025 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Road, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – St Johns Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (School Road, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – School Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Pump Lane, Arreton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Pump Lane will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Fairlee Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2025 – Fairlee Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between either 0600 and 1800 hours or between 1800 and 0600 hours for 1 to 15 days / nights between Friday 17 October 2025 and Friday 28 November 2025, the one-way restriction will be revoked along High Street and Market Hill, Cowes, on-street signage will depict the exact length of the revocation. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required during works for carriageway maintenance, surfacing, hedging & quartering, lining and cats’ eyes.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Isle of Wight) (Temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between either 0600 and 1800 hours or between 1800 and 0600 hours for 1 to 15 days / nights between Friday 17 October 2025 and Friday 28 November 2025, a “No Waiting at Any Time” parking restriction will be introduced, on both sides, along the following lengths of road:

a) Newport Road, Cowes, for its entire length

b) Bernard Road, Cowes, for its entire length

c) Arctic Road, Cowes, for its entire length

d) Victoria Grove, East Cowes, for its entire length

e) Beatrice Avenue, East Cowes, for its entire length.

On-street signage / cones will depict the exact length of the restriction. The restrictions are required during works for carriageway maintenance, surfacing, hedging & quartering, lining and cats’ eyes.

The Isle of Wight Council (Queens Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Queens Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Duver Road, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Dover Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Roud Road, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 7 2025

The Isle of Wight Council (Marlborough Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Marlborough Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Landguard Manor Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2025 – Landguard Manor Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Landguard Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Landguard Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Newport Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Argyll Place, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Argyll Place will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Tennyson Close, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Tennyson Close will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Whitehouse Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Whitehouse Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Staplers Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 10 2025 – Staplers Road, including the entire gyratory system, will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Briddlesford Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Briddlesford Road will be closed for its entire length.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847:

The Isle of Wight Council (Quay Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 10:00 until 10:30 hours, and, from 12:00 hours to 12:30 hours, on Monday 13 October 2025, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any driver or event related vehicle to proceed along Quay Street for its entire length. The closure is required for safety during the Isle of Wight Legal Service Procession. The diversion will be signposted locally.
