(B6398 BOWDEN ROAD, NEWTOWN ST BOSWELLS)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (B6398 Bowden Road, Newtown St Boswells)
(Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of the B6398 at Bowden Road, Newtown St Boswells from the entrance to Scottish Borders Council car park to Scottish Borders Council Roads Depot entrance. A temporary three way traffic lights system will be in operation.

(BANK STREET/HIGH STREET, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Bank Street/High Street, Galashiels) (Temporary
Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 19:00 on 25 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 06:00 on 27 October 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bank Street, Galashiels from its junction with Livingstone Place to High Street, Galashiels to its junction with Sime Place.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Bank Street Brae, Livingstone Place, Scott Street, Gala Park, Kirk Brae, Hall Street and Island Street to the point of closure.
The one way order on Overhaugh Street from Bank Close to High Street will be rescinded for the duration of the above closure to allow access and egress. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.

(CROFTS ROAD, LAUDER)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Crofts Road, Lauder) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 22 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 24 October 2025 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 each night. The Order is required for Go Fibre works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Crofts Road, Lauder.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Crofts Road, Mill Wynd, Mid Row, Market Place, West High Street and Crofts Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. Local access will be maintained for residents. Traffic management operatives to remain on site at all times.
