NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
A1147 SPINE ROAD TO MILBURN TERRACE
AND C406 RED
ROW, BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in Bedlington in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 10th November 2025 until the 10th May 2026. Road Closures:

• A1147 Spine Road to Milburn Terrace from its junction with Access Road from A1147 to Bomarsund Farm heading southwards for a distance of 370 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A1147, A196, A1068, A193, A189 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C406 Red Row from its junction with A1147 Spine Road to Milburn Terrace heading south westwards for a distance of 75 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C406, C404, A1147 and vice-versa.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 24th November 2025 until the 29th November 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 nightly during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 10th May 2026.

The closures have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) 
WANSBECK DISTRICT PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 10
(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use of Wansbeck District Public Footpath Number 10, in the County of Northumberland.

The route is described as follows:

From the U6716 road (Summerhouse Lane) opposite number 118 Barnston in an easterly direction for a distance of 145 metres to join the U6532 (Spine Road Cycle Track) 225 metres north-east of Paddock Wood.

There is an alternative route available from the U6716 road (Summerhouse Lane) opposite number 118 Barnston in a northerly direction for a distance of 295 metres then continuing in a general south-easterly direction over the Spine Road Cycle Track for a distance of 290 metres to a point on the U6532 (Spine Road Cycle Track) 225 metres north-east of Paddock Wood.

The Order is to be effective from the 3rd November 2025 until the 3rd May 2026.

The closure has been requested by Persimmon Homes Limited in the interests of public safety, to facilitate the construction of residential dwellings.

U9542 WINDERMERE CLOSE FOOTWAY AND WINDBURGH
DRIVE WINDERMERE CLOSE FOOTWAY CRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 27th October 2025 until the 12th December 2025.

Footway Closures

U9542 Windermere Close Footway from a point at the rear of 4 Winster Place heading northwards for a distance of 30 metres An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Southfield Lea Cyclepath, Winster Place, Windermere Close, Windermere Close Footway and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U9542 Windburgh Drive Windermere Close Footway from a point at the rear of 19 Winster Place heading southwards for a distance of 25 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Windburgh Drive, Windermere Close and vice-versa.

It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 27th October 2025 until the 14th November 2025, the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th December 2025.

U9542 Windermere Close Footway from a point at the rear of 9 Winster Place heading southwards for a distance of 24 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Windermere Close.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 3rd November 2025 until the 21st November 2025, the footway will be closed at all times during this period.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to carry out gas main replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U6548 HASSOP WAY BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6548 Hassop Way Bedlington from its junction with Schalksmuhle Road heading northwards for a distance of 70 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 27th October 2025 until the 2nd March 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 27th October 2025 until the 30th October 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 nightly during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd March 2026.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of this TTRO.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
B1328 BRIDGE STREET BLYTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1328 Bridge Street from its junction with U9514 Percy Street heading in an eastward direction for a distance of 50 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order commenced on the 14th October 2025 and will remain in place until the 13th April 2026

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 20th October 2025 until the 31st October 2025 between the hours of 20:00 & 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 13th April 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the Order is in force being via B1328, B1329, A193 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
(BLYTH TOWN CENTRE 20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION)
ORDER 2025 (TROM_329)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made the above-named Order under Sections 81 to 84 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 20th October 2025 will be to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed restriction on the following lengths of highways in Blyth in the County of Northumberland:-
