(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above Order made by West
Northamptonshire Council on 17th April 2025 and which came into effect on 18th April 2025 has been extended until the works to which it relates have been completed or until midnight on 18th October 2026 whichever is sooner by the Secretary of State for Transport. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said bridleway is unaffected.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The extension is required as works were delayed starting on site.

(Length of bridleway to be closed)
Three sections of Public Bridleway HW6 are to be closed. The first section commences off Nene Way, near its junction with Mill Lane at point A on the Order Map at National Grid Reference (‘NGR’) SP7421 6260. The route proceeds north of east for 121 metres to terminate at point B at NGR SP7432 6264. The next section to be closed commences at point C on the map at NGR SP7429 6272, the route proceeds west of north for 140 metres to terminate at point D at NGR SP7422 6285. The final section of HW6 to be closed commences at point E on the map at NGR SP7413 6304 and proceeds north-west for 479 metres to terminate at point F at NGR SP7375 6332. The routes to be closed are shown on the order map by solid black lines between points A-B, C-D and E-F.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
The alternative route for those travelling from the west, commences at point A off Mill Lane at NGR SP7421 6260 and proceeds generally north for 143 metres to point H at NGR SP7425 6272. The route then continues generally north for 131 metres to terminate at point D at NGR SP7422 6285. The alternative for those coming from the east commences off Mill Lane at point G at NGR SP7433 6263 and proceeds west of north for 18 metres to terminate at point B at NGR SP7432 6264 where it reconnects with bridleway HW6. The alternative route then continues at point C at NGR SP7429 6272 and proceeds west for 39 metres to point H at NGR SP7425 6272. The alternative route for the closure between E-F commences at point E at NGR SP7413 6304 and proceeds generally north-west for 468 metres to point I at NGR SP7374 6328. The route then proceeds east of north for 40 metres to terminate at point F at NGR SP7375 6332 where it re-joins bridleway HW6. The alternative routes are shown on the order map by broken black lines between points G-B, A-H-D, C-H and E-I-F.
