What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
HIGH STREET, ALFRETON
WHEN: 03 November to 11 November 2025
(19:00 - 06:00).
WHERE: High Street, Alfreton between its Jct.
with Cressy Road and its Jct. with Mansfield
Road.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: High St, A61: King
St /Derby Rd, Watchorn Roundabout, B6179:
Derby Rd, B6016: The Green/ The Delves/
Crays Hill/ Swanwick Rd, B6017: Main Rd/
Leabrooks Rd/ High St, B600: Nottingham Rd
and vice versa. Access will be maintained,
whenever reasonably possible, on the affected
length of road. The road will re-open as soon as
the work is finished. This may be earlier than
advertised. Anyone needing further information

The County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by
