Sutton - Changes to Disabled Parking Bays and Footway Parking Permissions

LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 (insofar as applicable) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other powers thereunto enabling

2. The general effect of the Order will:-

(a) provide new disabled person’s parking places, 6.6 metres in length and 1.8 metres in width in which vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at any time, at the following locations:–

(i) outside No. 320 Bishopsford Road, Morden (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay 4 wheels on the footway)

(ii) rear of Nos 273 and 275 Bishopsford Road, Morden (located on Shearing Drive)

(iii) outside Nos 90 and 96 Courtney Crescent, Carshalton

(iv) outside No 22 Stoneleigh Road, Carshalton

(v) outside No 109 and 111 Westminster Road, Carshalton (4 wheels on the footway)

(vi) outside No. 107 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay 2 wheels on the footway)

(b) provide a new disabled person’s parking place positioned 4.2 metres in length and a width of 3.6 metres in which vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at any time outside No. 3 Newent Close, Carshalton

(c) revoke existing disabled person’s parking places at the following locations:–

(i) outside No. 40 Frederick Road, Sutton

(ii) outside Nos. 12 to 14 Radcliffe Gardens, Carshalton

(iii) outside No. 90 Westminster Road, Carshalton

(d) amend the map-based tiles to the schedule attached to The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 2023 to match conditions as they exist on site.

3. Copies of the proposed Order, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order draft map schedules showing the locations and the effects of the proposal may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

4. 5. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of London Borough of Sutton, as part of this proposal, and by the powers conferred under section 15 of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974 is resolving the following:–

(a) removal of an existing length of uncontrolled footway parking outside No. 90 Westminster Road, Carshalton (4 wheels on the footway) see item 2(c)(iii) above

(b) install lengths of uncontrolled footway parking at the following locations:–

(i) outside No. 109 and 111 Westminster Road, Carshalton (4 wheels on the footway) see item 2(a) item (v) above

(ii) outside No. 90 Westminster Road, Carshalton (2 wheels on the footway) see item 2(c) item (iii) above
