What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A4112 From A44 To Hurst Lane, Dilwyn, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A4112 From A44 To Hurst Lane, Dilwyn, from the junction of Hurst Lane to the junction with the C1083.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A4112 onto the A480, onto the A44, onto the A4112 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to bridge strengthening works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
