WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS IN MANOR ROAD, MITCHAM
THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION)
(AMENDMENT NO. 540) ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 8 October 2025 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the “Waiting and Loading” Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that waiting and loading restrictions relating to Manor Road, Mitcham are amended to reflect the current on-site layout.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 20 October 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan specifying the road or lengths of road affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

THE MERTON (PARKING PLACES) (GC1)
(AMENDMENT NO.* ) ORDER 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, propose to make the above-mentioned Order.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to remove an 11 metre length of parking place outside Nos. 239 and 241 Streatham Road to accommodate the extension of the adjacent bus stop and improve bus stop accessibility.
3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates can be inspected Monday to Friday during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX.
4. Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Order or the proposed zebra crossing should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to Traffic.AndHighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/STREATHAMBAYS, no later than 31 October 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(WEST BARNES LANE, KT3)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 6) ORDER 2025
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate level crossing works at the Motspur Park Level Crossing on West Barnes Lane, KT3, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. Whilst the works take place no person would:–
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane, between a point 55 metres south-west of the Motspur Park level crossing and a point 20 metres north-east of that level crossing;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle in the length of West Barnes Lane specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
(c) enter or proceed on foot in West Barnes Lane, from a point 20 metres south-west of the Motspur Park Level Crossing and a point 20 metres north-east of the said crossing.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic would be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.
5. Pedestrians affected by the road closure should proceed using Station Road, the Motspur Park pedestrian bridge (public right of way No. 130) and Claremont Avenue.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply:–
(a) to any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
8. The Order would come into operation at 11.55pm on Monday 3rd November 2025 and remain in force until 7am on Friday 7th November 2025, with the works taking place each night between the hours of 11.55pm and 7am the following day.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(COMMONSIDE EAST, CR4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works in Commonside East, CR4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:–
(a) enter or proceed in Commonside East, from its junction with Manor Road north-westward for a distance of 90 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of Commonside East specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Nothing in the Order will apply to: –
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Windmill Road, Croydon Road and Commonside West.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order will come into force on Monday 20th October 2025 and it is expected that the works will be completed by Sunday 26th October 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(WIMBLEDON HILL ROAD AND WORPLE ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate valve repair works in Wimbledon Hill Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Worple Road.
2. During the works:–
(a) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Wimbledon Hill Road other than in a south–eastbound direction;
(b) no person would cause or permit any vehicle proceeding north–eastbound in Worple Road to turn left into Wimbledon Hill Road;
(c) the bus lane in Worple Road would be suspended to facilitate an alternate route;
(d) the no right turn prohibition from Worple Road into Wimbledon Hill Road would be suspended.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic would be via The Broadway, Merton Road, Merton High Street, Haydons Road, Durnsford Road, Merton Road, Buckhold Road, West Hill, Wimbledon Parkside, Parkside and High Street, Wimbledon.
