What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CALEDONIA STREET, BILSTON) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Caledonia Street in both directions from its junction with Mountford Lane to its junction with Wellington Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 27 October 2025 until 31 October 2025.
The diversion route is: Mountford Lane, Mount Pleasant, Wellington Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new supply by National Grid.
