What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(NORTHBOURNE ROAD, JARROW) ORDER 2025

On 15 October 2025 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order which comes into operation on 20 October 2025 will:- REVOKE No Waiting At Any Time on Northbourne Rd both sides the whole part which forms a turning head with Red House Rd. INTRODUCE No Waiting At Any Time on Northbourne Rad north side the northern kerb line outside 111 Northbourne Rd; south side from its junction with Red House Rd eastwards for 15m; west side from its junction with Red House Rd northwards for 8m and east side from the northern kerb line outside 111 Northbourne Rd southwards for 2.4m and from a point 15.5m
south of the northern kerb line outside 111 Northbourne Rd southwards for 3m. Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds
that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 15 October 2025 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
