TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A6 DERBY ROAD/ MATLOCK ROAD, AMBERGATE

WHEN: 03 November to 06 December 2025 (Mon-Fri 19:00 to 05:00 each night and Sat 00:00-05:00 each night)
WHERE: A6 Derby Road / Matlock Road, Ambergate between its Jct. with A610 Riversdale and its Jct. with Broadholme Lane.
REASON: To facilitate repair and maintenance of highway.
HGV ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A610: Riversdale / Ripley Rd / Ladygrove / Ripley Rd. Hartshay Interchange. A38. Palm Court Island. A6: Duffield Rd / Burley Hill / Derby Rd / Town St / Milford Rd / Derby Rd / The Bridge / Derby Rd / Chapel St / Bridge St / Matlock Rd and vice versa.
LIGHT VEHICLE ALTERNATE ROUTE: A6: Matlock Rd. A517: Bridge Foot / Bridge Hill / Ashbourne Rd. B5023: Wirksworth Rd / Derby Rd / Warmbrook / St James St / Harrison Dr B5023: Cromford Rd / Steeple Grange / Cromford Hill / The Hill / Market Place. A6: Derby Rd / Matlock Rd and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
