Ansdell Road South, Inner Promenade, King Edward Avenue - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ANSDELL ROAD SOUTH, INNER PROMENADE, KING EDWARD AVENUE, LYTHAM ST ANNES, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle (apart from those participating in the event) from proceeding over the following lengths of highway, in the Borough of Fylde, as set out below;
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of
i. Ansdell Road South from its junction with Clifton Drive to its junction Inner Promenade.
ii. Inner Promenade from its junction with Ansdell Road South to its with Denford Avenue.
iii. King Edward Avenue for its entire length.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 1100 hours until 1300 hours on Sunday 9th November 2025 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Denford Avenue – Clifton Drive and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the safe holding of Windmill Remembrance Day 10k to take place.
