What is happening?
Temporary Speed Limit
A2 Belfast Road,
Carrickfergus
The Department For Infrastructure for Northern Ireland, in
exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 7 (1) and (3)
of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997,
has made a provision imposing a temporary 30mph speed
limit on the A2 Belfast Road, Carrickfergus, from its junction
with the B58 Davy Street for a distance of 400m in a southwesterly direction commencing on Saturday 25th October
2025 at 09-30hrs to Sunday 2nd November 2025 at 16:30hrs.
Temporary Prohibition of
Right-Hand Turn
A2 Belfast Road and U3102
Windmill Avenue,
Carrickfergus
The Department For Infrastructure for Northern Ireland, in
exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 7 (1) and (3)
of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997,
has made a provision prohibiting vehicles travelling on the
U3102 Windmill Avenue, Carrickfergus and joining the A2
Belfast Road, from making a right-hand turn onto the A2
Belfast Road, and also prohibiting vehicles travelling in a
south-westerly direction on the A2 Belfast Road turning right
into U3102 Windmill Avenue from Saturday 25th October
2025 at 09-30hrs to Sunday 2nd November 2054 at 16:30hrs.
The restriction is to facilitate the safety of the travelling public
and the workforce engaged in NIW works.
