Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 16th October 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2217)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Station Road, Newport Pagnell from its junction with Number 5 to its junction with High Street, to enable Anglian Water and The Electricity Network Company Limited to carry out new connection works for the new Care Home Development.
The closure will take place from 27th October to 5th November 2025 (24 hours a day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Station Road, Caldecotte Street, Willen Road, Marsh End Road, High Street (and vice versa).
Whilst the closure is in place there will be Temporary Traffic lights in operation on High Street Newport Pagnell.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY GL06, REDWAY GL02 AND ST LEGER DRIVE, GREAT LINFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2272)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along St Leger Drive, Great Linford from its junction with A422 Monks Wy to its junction with Nicholas Mead, to enable SGN to carry out new connection works on the below dates.
The closure will take place for a period of 1 week. Signs will be displayed along the road in advance of the closure.

Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via St Leger Drive, Gifford gate, Marlborough Street and Monks Way (and vice versa).
Parts of Redway GL02 and GL06, Great Linford will also be closed between 1st December 2025 – 6th February 2026.
Whilst the above redways are closed, the alternative route will be via Redway PD01 Pennylands, Redway NH05 Neath Hill and Redway GL06 Great Linford (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 14th October 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BROUGHTON GROUNDS LANE, BROOKLANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2230)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Broughton Grounds Lane, Brooklands from its junction with Neptune Crescent to its junction with M1 Bridge, to facilitate Pole Swap using a Mewp & Hiab: -
The closure will take place from 23rd to 26th October 2025 (between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm each day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Access will be maintained throughout the closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BOW BRICKHILL TO LITTLE BRICKHILL ROAD, BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2233)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Bow Brickhill to Little Brickhill Road, Bow Brickhill from its junction with Watling Street for a distance of 525 metres in a northerly direction, to allow National Highways to undertake resurfacing and sign replacement works.
The above closure will be in effect from 20th to 25th October 2025 (overnight during the hours of 9:00pm to 6:00am)
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via unnamed road between Bow Brickhill to Little Brickhill Road and Sheep Lane and Sheep Lane or A5 and Watling Street (and vice versa).

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 16th October 2025:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NORTH EIGHTH STREET, CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES) (ONE-WAY TRAFFIC AND PROHIBITION OF ENTRY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a one-way traffic system for North Eighth Street, Central Milton Keynes; and a prohibition of entry restriction on North Eighth Street at its junction with North Row.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-462 and to be received no later than 6th November 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
