(CITY CENTRE VARIOUS ROADS)(WAITING RESTRICTIONS, LOADING
RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES)
(EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2025
(AMENDMENT NO.1) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sheffield City Council proposes to amend the above Experimental Traffic Order, originally made on 16 October 2025 and coming into force on 27 October 2025, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the proposed amendment is to modify the existing ETRO as follows:

No waiting at any time on part of Cambridge Street
No loading at any time on parts of Cambridge Street, Carver Street and Division Street
Blue Badge Holder Parking at all times maximum stay 4 hours on parts of Cambridge Street
And remove:

Paid for parking place 08:00 - 20:30 on parts of Cambridge Street
No loading Monday-Saturday 08:00-9:30 and 16:30-18:30 on parts of Carver Street and Division Street
No loading Monday-Saturday 08:00-9:30 and 16:00-18:30 on part of Division Street
No loading Monday-Saturday 08:00-18:30 on part of Carver Street
Blue Badge Holder Parking At All Times on parts of Cambridge Street

Between 16 October 2025 and 27 April 2026.

Copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the roads concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may also be examined during normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH

The City Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to the making of an Order for such indefinite continuation may do so, giving the grounds for the objection, in writing, to The Director of City Growth, at the address given below within a period of six months from 27 October, 2025.

Any alterations to this Order which will render it less restrictive may be authorised by the Head of Strategic Transport, Sustainability and Infrastructure without the requirement to re-advertise the Order under Section 10(2) of the said Act, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 16 October 2025, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
