Ryknield Hill - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
RYKNIELD HILL, DENBY
WHEN: 03 November 2025 (09:30 to 14:30).
WHERE: Ryknield Hill, Denby between its Jct. with Sapphire Drive and its Jct. with Lady Lane.
REASON: To facilitate BT overhead cabling and tree cutting works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Ryknield Hill, Derby Road, Bywell Lane, Church Street, Woodhouse Road, Ryknield Road, Bottle Brook, Ticknall Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
