What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
C1127, Southbank Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1127, Southbank Road, Hereford, at the junction with Aylestone Hill. Grid Ref: 351803/240461. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Bodenham Rd onto Ledbury Rd onto Folly Lane onto Aylestone Hill and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to gas mains replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on
3rd of November 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within
