What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 PART OF BOTH THORPE ROAD, HOWDEN AND HOLME ROAD, EASTRINGTON
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed at a speed exceeding 30 mph along part of both Thorpe Road, Howden and Holme Road, Eastrington from Caville Hall Farmhouse southbound to Thorpe Road Works Access Road commencing 6 November 2025 for the full 18 month period. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed part of both Thorpe Road, Howden and Holme Road, Eastrington safe working zone whilst the Howden Relief Road is under construction works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 18 months.
The Order will commence 6 November 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
