What is happening?
(HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a detailed bridge examination to be carried out -
High Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between points 25 metres either side of High Street railway bridge. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Chapel Lane and Green Lane in both directions.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 27 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 27 October 2025 and are programmed for completion overnight (10pm–6am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(GILLINGHAM AND BROMPTON) (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.43) ORDER 2025 NOTICE OF PROPOSAL COPENHAGEN ROAD, GILLINGHAM (OUTSIDE NO.19)
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Amendment Order will be to introduce or amend lengths of waiting restrictions (single or double yellow lines) in Gillingham, with the addition below to proposals advertised on 18 September 2025:
- Copenhagen Road - North side (a) reduce the parking bay outside No.19 by 2 metres eastwards; (b) extend the adjacent waiting restriction eastwards by 2 metres, also converting the full length of the single yellow line to double yellow lines.
Copies of the Order, plan and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals can be inspected at the front reception, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except for public holidays. Electronic copies of these documents can be requested by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk on the understanding that requests may take up to 5 working days to be processed and sent.
Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to “Parking Design team” at the address specified in the paragraph above by Friday, 7 November 2025 stating name, address and the grounds for objection or support.

(WHYMAN AVENUE, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable speed hump replacement works to be carried out -
Whyman Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between across the frontages of 1 and 10 and pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via White Road, Ansell Avenue and return.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 20 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 20 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 4 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(RICHMOND ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
Richmond Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 22 Richmond Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via James Street, Jeffery Street, Brompton Road and Prince Arthur Road. This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 21 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 4 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(SHARNAL STREET, HIGH HALSTOW) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
Sharnal Street, High Halstow - to be closed to all vehicular traffic outside “Kemp”, Sharnal Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Access to properties will be maintained as far as possible. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This Order came into force on Saturday, 11 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence on or after Saturday, 11 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 5 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(CHURCH STREET, CLIFFE WOODS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable duct overlay works to be carried out -
Church Street, Cliffe Woods - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 165 to 170 Church Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Buttway Lane, West Street, Higham Road, Church Street and return or Cooling Road, Rye Street, Common Lane, Reed Street and return.
This Order will come into force on Saturday, 18 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Saturday, 18 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 16 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
