What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

(BOTTOMLEY ROAD, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bottomley Road from Bottomley Fold to Kimberley for a distance of approximately 90 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th November 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(COLD EDGE ROAD, WAINSTALLS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Cold Edge Road from its junction with Tree Lane to Lumb Lane for a distance of approximately 145 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Withens Road, Cold Edge Road, Nab Water Lane, Hill House Edge Lane, A6033 Hebden Bridge Road, B6141 Station Road, B6141 Denholme Road, B6141 Long Causeway, A629 Halifax Road, A629 Causeway Foot, A629 Keighley Road, Field Head Lane, White Gate, Mill Lane, Clough Lane, Balkram Edge, Mount Tabor Road and vice versa. Access for residents will be maintained. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th October 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(ECCLES PARLOUR, COTTON STONES)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Eccles Parlour from its junction with Lighthazles Road to Cross Dikes Road for a distance of approximately 390 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Cross Dikes Road, Ash Hill Lane, Greaves Road, Coal Gate Road, Blue Ball Road, Causeway Head Lane, Cross Wells Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st November 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00.

(JERRY LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Jerry Lane from its junction with Rochdale Road to Quarry Hill for a distance of approximately 200 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Quarry Hill, Sowerby Street, Foundry Street, West Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th November 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(LIGHTHAZLES ROAD, SOYLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lighthazles Road from its junction with Wicking Lane to Blackshaw Croft for a distance of approximately 240 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Cross Dikes Road, Ash Hill Lane, Greaves Road, Coal Gate Road, Blue Ball Road, Causeway Head Lane, Cross Wells Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st November 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00.

(PRINCETON CLOSE, WHEATLEY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Princeton Close from No. 1 to No. 9 for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available – access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 24th October 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(GREYSTONES ROAD, LUDDENDENFOOT)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Greystones Road from its junction with Butts Green Road to Magson House Road for a distance of approximately 360 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. Thealternative route is via Butts Green Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 22nd October 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00  &  17:00.

(JUMPS ROAD, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Safer Roadworks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Jumps Road from its junction with A646 Burnley Road for a distance of approximately 115 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd October 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 23:00  &  06:00.

(EWOOD LANE, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Ewood Lane from No. 34 to No. 38 for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Ewood Lane, Burnley Road, Rochdale Road, Bacup Road, Sourhall Road, Parkin Lane, Doghouse Lane, Sigget Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 23rd October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd October 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00.

(LUMB LANE, MILL BANK)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lumb Lane from 2 Lower Lumb to Mill Bank Close for a distance of approximately 310 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Lumb Lane, Deep Lane, Otter Lee Lane, Ratten Row Lane, Plain Lane, Rooley Lane, Upper Field House Lane, Bowood Lane, Birks Lane, Mill Bank Road, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 25th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd November 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(WITHINFIELDS, SOUTHOWRAM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Withinfields in the vicinity of its junction with Law Lane for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Law Lane, Bank Top, Beacon Hill Road, Godley Branch Lane, Godley Lane, Leeds Road, Halifax Road, Brighouse Road, Halifax Road, Elland Road, Brookfoot Lane, Church Lane, Cain Lane, Law Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th October 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
