Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The A3 GLA Road (Beverley Way, Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) No 2 Order 2025

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable resurfacing works to take place on Beverley Way.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering or proceeding on the westbound carriageway of the unnamed on and off-slip road connecting the southbound carriageway of the A3 Beverley Way with the westbound carriageway of Coombe Lane between its junction with the southbound carriageway of the A3 Beverley Way and the westbound carriageway of Coombe Lane;

(2) entering, exiting, proceeding or stopping on the Beverley Way Service Road fronting 18 to 154 Beverley Way for its entirety.

The Order will also close the eastern footway of the A3 Kingston By-Pass between its junction with Cycleway 31 and Beverley Way Service Road fronting 18 to 154 Beverley Way.

The Order will be effective at certain times between 27th October 2025 and 15th March 2026, every night 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via Coombe Lane (eastbound), Lambton Road, Worple Road, Pepys Road, Coombe Lane (westbound), Coombe Lane Flyover, A3 Robin Hood Way, A3 Kingston By-Pass (northbound), Kingston Vale, Roehampton Vale (eastbound), Stag Lane, Roehampton Vale (westbound), Kingston Vale and A3 Kingston By-Pass (southbound) to normal route of travel.
