What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

VARIOUS ROADS AT EAST HERRINGTHORPE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the five parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The part of Bradstone Road will be closed from Monday 20th October until Monday 3rd November 2025. The part of Hirst Drive will be closed from Monday 27th October until Monday 10th November 2025. The part of Creswick Road will be closed from Monday  3rd November until Monday 22nd December 2025. The part of Dalton Lane will be closed from Monday 3rd November until Monday 17th November 2025. The part of Langley Close will be closed from Monday 10th November until Monday 1st December 2025.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Gas main renewal).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Bradstone Road from its junctions with Mallory Road to its junctions with Coupland Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(ii)   Hirst Drive from its junctions with Laudsdale Road to its junctions with Laudsdale Close  (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iii)   Creswick Road from its junction with Dalton Lane to its junction with Malin Road  (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iv)   Dalton Lane from from its junction with Brecks Lane for a distance of approximately 110m in a north easterly direction (the alternative route will be via Doncaster Road, Herringthorpe Valley Road, Ridgeway, Brecks Lane and vice versa).

(v)   Langley Close from its junction with Creswick Road to the end of the cul de sac  (there is no alternative route).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CRESWICK CLOSE AND CRESWICK ROAD SERVICE ROAD EAST

HERRINGTHORPE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Creswick Close and Creswick Road service road from their junctions with Creswick Road to the end of the cul de sacs from Monday 20th October until Monday 22nd December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order, the roads are cul de sacs.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas main renewal works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF OLD WARREN VALE RAWMARSH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of the middle access road from Warren Vale to Old Warren Vale situated approximately 527m north of the northern kerb line of Kilnhurst Road from Wednesday 29th October until Friday 31st October 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via the two other most southern junctions with Thorogate and the most northern junction with Warren Vale.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

FORGE WAY AND A633 ROTHERHAM ROAD PARKGATE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TURNING MANOEUVRES)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from carrying out the turning manoeuvres specified in the Schedule to this notice from Saturday  25th October until Sunday 2nd November 2025.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Renewal of water main).

SCHEDULE

(i)    To prohibit any vehicle travelling south along Forge Way from turning right into A633 Rotherham Road/Rawmarsh Road (the alternative route will be via A633 Rotherham Road eastbound, U turn at Retail World Roundabout and A633 Rotherham Road westbound).

(ii)   To prohibit any vehicle travelling west along A633 Rotherham Road from turning left into Forge Way (the alternative route will be via A633 Rawmarsh Road, St. Anns Road southbound, U turn at Grafton Bridge Roundabout, St. Anns Road northbound and A633 Rawmarsh Road).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF B6093 BROOK LANE BRAMLEY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6093 Brook Lane from its junction with B6093 Main Street to its junction with Lidgett Lane from Friday 24th October until Sunday 2nd November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order will be:-

Traffic approaching from Sunnyside/Bramley via B6093 Main Street, A631 Bawtry Road (eastbound), Hellaby Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road (eastbound), A631 Bawtry Road Roundabout, Denby Way, Hellaby Lane, Common Lane, Braithwell Road, B6093 Moor Lane South.

Traffic approaching from Ravenfield via Braithwell Road, Common Lane, Hellaby Lane, Denby Way, A631 Bawtry Road Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road (westbound), Hellaby Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road (westbound), B6093 Church Lane, B6093 Main Street.

The reason for the prohibition is works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Roundabout improvement works and construction of retaining wall).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

HELLABY VIEW RAVENFIELD ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to introduce No Waiting At Any Time to that part of Hellaby View from its junction with B6093 Moor Lane South for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction from 6am on Friday 24th October until 10pm on Sunday 2nd November 2025.

The reason for the temporary order is because are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (To faccilitate S278 works on Brook Lane, Bramley).

PART OF BRADSTONE ROAD EAST HERRINGTHORPE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Bradstone Road from outside property no.41 Bradstone Road to outside property no.45 Bradstone Road from Monday  20th October until Monday 3rd November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via local diversions.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas main renewals).

PART OF B6090 VICTORIA STREET KILNHURST ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6090 Victoria Street from its junction with Wharf Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a westerly direction from Saturday 25th October until Sunday 2nd November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via B6090 Hooton Road, B6090 Kilnhurst Road, A630 Doncaster Road, A630 Mushroom Roundabout, A630 Fitzwilliam Road, A630 St Anns Roundabout, A630 Centenary Way, A630 College Road Roundabout, A6123 Greasbrough Street, A6123 Greasbrough Road, A6123 Car Hill Roundabout, A6123 Mangham Road, A6123 Taylors Lane, A633 Taylors Lane Roundabout, A633 Broad Street, A633 Rawmarsh Hill, A633 High Street, A633 Blyth Avenue, A633 Dale Road, A633 Warren Vale, A633 Warren Vale Roundabout, B6090 Wentworth Road, B6090 Victoria Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to collapsed sewer).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF LARCH ROAD MALTBY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Larch Road between properties 47 and 51 Larch Road from Monday 27th October until Sunday 2nd November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (new sewer connection).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along School Street from its junction with A618 High Street to its junction with B6053 Rotherham Road from Monday 27th. October until Thursday 30th. October 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order. Access will be maintained for residents.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing works).
