NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Restricted Byway Hitchin 003, heading south and east from its junction for an approximate distance of 320m.

Alternative Route: via Friars Funding.

The purpose of the Order is to enable construction works to take place.

The section of Restricted Byway Hitchin 003 will be closed on or after 27 October 2025 for up to 9 weeks, when signs are in place.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Codicote 15, heading west from St Albans Road to Heath Road, for an approximate distance of 730m.

Alternative Route: via St Albans Road, Heath Lane and Codicote 16.

The purpose of the Order is to enable construction works to take place.

The section of Footpath Codicote 15 will be closed on or after 24 October 2025 for up to 4 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN COREYS MILL LANE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from that length of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from its junction with the A602 Hitchin Road/Ingleside Drive north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B197 North Road, a distance of approximately 479m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A602 Hitchin Road and B197 (Graveley Road/ North Road) or via B197 North Road and A602 (High Street/James Way/Luton Way/Hitchin Road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of the Road throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions shall only apply at times when signs are in place, and the works are being carried out.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Lamer Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 435m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, Six Hills Way, A1155 (Gresley Way/Fairlands Way), B1037 Fairlands Way and Gresley Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ashwell Road, Bygrave from its junction with Church Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 314m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Ashwell Road, Bygrave Road, A507 (North Road/Great North Road), Newnham Road, Ashwell Road, Newnham Way, Silver Street, Kingsland Way, Ashwell Street, Claybush Road and Ashwell Road.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B656 Baldock Road, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Pixmore Avenue, Letchworth Gate north westwards to its junction with Pixmore Avenue, a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A505 (Letchworth Gate/Baldock Bypass), B197 (London Road/High Street) and B656 Hitchin Road/Letchworth Road/Baldock Road.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF BEDWELL CRESCENT, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cyclists from using the cycle track situated on the west side of Bedwell Crescent, Stevenage from its junction with Bedwell Crescent north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Cycle Track”).

Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

The Order is needed because telecoms maintenance works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 October 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), as specified in each case and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

1. that length of Meadway, Stevenage from its junction with Redcar Drive south westwards to its junction with Shepherds Lane, a distance of approximately 219m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Shephall Green, Stevenage from its intersection with Hydean Way south eastwards, north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.

4. that length of Tummel Close, Baldock from its junction with The Twitchell north eastwards, south northwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 220m.

5. the road fronting Nos. 48-50 Leaves Spring, Stevenage from its easternmost junction with Leaves Spring clockwise for a distance of approximately 68m.

18. the road situated on the west side of Nos.80–84 Midmay Road, Stevenage from its junction with Midmay Road southwards for its entire length.

19. that length of Browning Drive, Hitchin from its junction with St Michaels Road north eastwards, north westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

21. that length of Nos.159–181 Glebe Road, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Glebe Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 82m.

22. that length of Warren Close, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Valley Road eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 172m.

23. that length of Melne Road, Stevenage from its junction with The Noke north eastwards to its junction with Oaks Cross, a distance of approximately 211m.

An alternative route will be via The Noke, Broadwater Crescent and Oaks Cross.

24. the road leading to Nos.1–8 Graveley Road, Great Wymondley from its junction with Arch Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 138m.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
