What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF CATTLE HILL, NUNBURNHOLME
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Cattle Hill, Nunburnholme from its junction with
Kilnwick Percy Hill northbound to access to Quary
House commencing 11 November 2025 between
08.00 hours until 18.00 hours for the purposes of
excavation to install approximately 410 metres of
telecoms ducting to link to existing fibre apparatus as
part of the fibre to homes scheme works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within ten hours. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via Cattle
Hill, Coldwold, Roman Road, Butt Lane, Main Street,
Westbeck Hill, Inrea Hill, Baggaby Hill, Warter Park
Access Roads and Baggaby Hill, Nunburnholme CP,
Warter CP, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure. The road
will be closed to all through traffic but access will
be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
