What is happening?
(CAPSTONE ROAD, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
Capstone Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 53 Capstone Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Capstone Road, Street End Road, Wayfield Road, Walderslade Road, Princes Avenue, North Dane Way and Capstone Road.
This Order came into force on Saturday, 11 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence on or after Saturday, 11 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(BOUNDARY ROAD, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable speed hump replacement works to be carried out -
Boundary Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontages of 9, 19 and 70 Boundary Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Grosvenor Avenue, Ordnance Street, Albany Terrace and return in both directions.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 20 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 20 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 4 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(BARNSOLE ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable mobile crane operations to be carried out - Mobile crane operation required to lift and install modular buildings into The Robert Napier School.
Barnsole Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between Third Avenue and Seaton Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via as signed on site.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 27 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 27 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 5 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(FOOTPATH RS94, STOKE ROAD, HOO) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on pedestrians to enable construction of new development to be carried out -
Footpath RS94, Stoke Road, Hoo - to be closed between Stoke Road and the field south of Stoke Road reconnecting to the existing footpath. This is for the safety of the public to enable the construction of new a development to be carried out.
The closure will be in place from 1 November 2025 until 1 June 2027, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The maximum duration of this Order is six months, after which application will be made to the Secretary of State for the Order to be extended.
An alternative route for pedestrians will be provided along Stoke Road and adjoining field path as shown on site.

(EDINBURGH ROAD, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable speed hump replacement to be carried out -
Edinburgh Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Luton Road for a distance of 50 metres. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Luton Road, Connaught Road, Alexandra Road in both directions.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 20 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 20 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 3 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(PORTLAND ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable manhole frame and cover replacement works to be carried out -
Portland Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Ingram Road for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Elm Road and Grange Road.
This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 22 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 22 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable speed hump replacement to be carried out -
Lower Rainham Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic outside 260 Lower Rainham Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Yokosuka Way, Ito Way, A2 London Road and Otterham Quay Lane in both directions.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 20 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. SECTION 14(1)(B) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY) (COMMUNITY EVENTS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 4) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place
Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the events mentioned in column (1) of the table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 10 November 2025 and will cease to have effect on Monday, 22 December 2025. The Order will only be effective only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
