(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, BOVINGDON, TRING,
BERKHAMSTED AND ALDBURY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
1. that length of St Marys Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Herbert Street south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Roefields Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Felden Lane south eastwards, north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of Heath Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Heath Lane south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Church Street, Bovingdon from its junction with Chipperfield Road north eastwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Vicarage Lane, a distance of approximately 366m.
An alternative route will be via Chipperfield Rd, High Street and Church Lane.
5. that length of Woodman Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Deaconsfield Road north westwards to its junction with Seaton Road, a distance of approximately 111m.
An alternative route will be via Deaconsfield Road, Lawn Lane and Seaton Road. 6. the service road fronting Nos.28-31 ‘Gamnel’, Tring from its junction with Tringford Road south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. that length of Shendish Edge, Hemel Hempstead from its southernmost junction with A4251 London Road south westwards, north westwards and northwards to its northernmost junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 86m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road.
8. that length of Bullace Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hawthorn Lane north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. that length of St Marys Road, Hemel Hempstead from its westernmost junction with Herbert Street north eastwards to its junction with Herbert Street, a distance of approximately 179m.
An alternative route will be via Herbert Street.
10. that length of Trebellan Drive, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Springfield Road south eastwards, clockwise and south eastwards to its junction with Hardy Road, a distance of approximately 315m.
An alternative route will be via Springfield Road and Hardy Road.
11. that length of High Ridge Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with High Ridge Road south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
12. that length of Oliver Road, Hemel Hempstead from its westernmost junction with Hobbs Hill Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
An alternative route will be via Hobbs Hill Road and Oliver Road.
13. that length of White Hart Drive, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Windmill Road south eastwards, eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with White Hart Road, a distance of approximately 518m.
An alternative route will be via Windmill Road and White Hart Road.
14. that length of Wadley Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with White Hart Drive south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
15. that length of Stroma Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lismore south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
16. that length of Cemetery Hill, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Heath Lane north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Cotterells, a distance of approximately 218m.
An alternative route will be via Heath Lane, Cotterells Hill and Cotterells.
17. that length of The Dells, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Kilncroft north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
18. that length of Oak Drive, Berkhamstead from its junction with Woodlands Avenue south eastwards for its entire length, a distance of approximately 84m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to propertie s in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
19. that length of Jarman Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wheelers Lane north westwards, south westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
20. that length of Trooper Road, Aldbury from its junction with Station Road south westwards to its junction with New Ground Road, a distance of approximately 275m.
An alternative route will be via Station Road, Beggars Lane and New Ground Road.
21. that length of Park Street, Tring from its junction with Park Road north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WEST LEITH, TRING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of West Leith, Tring from its junction with Duckmore Lane south eastwards to its junction with Tring Town Byway Open to All Traffic No.075, a distance of approximately 330m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Hemel Hempstead from a point 27m north east of its junction with B487 Queensway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 55m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via High Street, B487 Queensway, A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 Link Road, Piccotts End and High Street. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

1. that length of Kinderscout, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Crofts Path north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 174m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Barberry Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northridge Way south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Gravel Lane, a distance of approximately 172m.
An alternative route will be via Northridge Way, Green End Road and Gravel Lane.
3. that length of Counters Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Barberry Road south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 58m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Manley Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Knightsbridge Way north eastwards to its junction with Springfield Road, a distance of approximately 55m.
An alternative route will be via Knightsbridge Way, Commons Lane and Springfield Road.
5. that length of Temple Mead, Hemel Hempstead from a point 45m south west of its junction with Church Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. that length of High Street, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Humbers Hoe south eastwards for a distance of approximately 110m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. the road fronting Nos.66-76 Icknield Way, Tring from its northernmost junction with B488 Icknield Way south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with The Greenway, a distance of approximately 96m.
An alternative route will be via B488 Icknield Way and The Greenway.
8. that length of Upper Ashlyns Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Ashlyns Road south westwards to its junction with Ballinger Court, a distance of approximately 208m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. that length of Vicarage Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with B4505 Hempstead Road south eastwards to its junction with Church Lane, a distance of approximately 399m.
An alternative route will be via B4505 Hempstead Road, High Street and Church Lane.
10. that length of Curlew Close, Berkhamsted from its junction with Kestrel Close north westwards to its junction with for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
11. that length of Avia Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 42m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
12. that length of Long View, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bridle Way south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
13. that length of The Horseshoe, Hemel Hempstead from its northernmost junction with Malmes Croft south eastwards, north eastwards, south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Malmes Croft.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PANCAKE LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.3 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pancake Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point 70m south west of its junction with Westwick Row south westwards for a distance of approximately 83m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Pancake Lane, Westwick Row, Green Lane, A4251 Leverstock Green Road and Pancake Lane. The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Bennetts End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 St Albans Road/White Hart Road roundabout south westwards to its junction with Gammon Close, a distance of approximately 68 m.
An alternative route will be via A414 St Albans Road, the A414 The Plough roundabout, Lawn Lane, St Albans Hill and Bennetts End Road.
2. that length of Jarman Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 St Albans Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 97 m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicular traffic is prohibited from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A414 St Albans Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point 116 metres east of its junction with Lower Yott south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the White Hart Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 360 metres, when signs are in place. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE COMMON, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Common, Chipperfield from its junction with Queen Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via The Common, The Street, Dunny Lane, Windmill Hill and The Common.
The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ashby Road, Northchurch from its junction with Home Farm Road north eastwards to its junction with High Street South, a distance of approximately 85m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Ashby Road, Covert Road, Darrs Lane and High Street South.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using Bovingdon Byway Open To All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane) from a point in line with the north western boundary of ‘Hope Cottage’ south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Byway Open to All Traffic”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Bovingdon Byway Open To All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane), Pudds Cross, Shantock Lane and Bovingdon Byway Open to All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.
