What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PRINCES STREET, TODDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Princes Street, Toddington to the side of 19 Dunstable Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable valve repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8pm on the 5 November 2025 to 4am on the 6 November. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B5120, B530, B57 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 5 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HARLINGTON ROAD, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Harlington Road, Harlington from Lower East End to Goswell End Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 7 November 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road, Toddington Road, A5120, Kings Road, Greenfield Road, High Street, Flitton Road, Sand Road, Flitton Road, Barton Road, Bedford Road, B655, Sharpenhoe Road, Barton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 3 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(TOTTERNHOE ROAD, EATON BRAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Totternhoe Road, Eaton Bray outside number 92.

This temporary closure is required to enable new electrical connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 7 November 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Castle Hill Road, Dunstable Road, B489,

High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 3 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BYSLIPS ROAD, STUDHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Byslips Road, Studham outside 52.

This temporary closure is required to enable frame and cover repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 22 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Buckwood Lane, Dunstable Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HARLINGTON ROAD, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Harlington Road, Harlington outside Horsehill Spinny.

This temporary closure is required to enable decayed pole replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 21 October 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Sharpenhoe Road, Sundon Road, Streatley Road, Harlington Road, Sundon Road.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

TO INTRODUCE WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON ENGLANDS LANE, PRIORY ROAD AND RICHARD STREET, DUNSTABLE

On 7th October 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Dunstable: -

1.  Englands Lane, Lane, north side, from the junction with Priory Road, extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

2.  Englands Lane, south side, from the junction with Richard Street, extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3.  Priory Road, east side, from the junction with Englands Lane, extending in a north- westerly direction for approximately 10 metres

4.  Richard Street, east side, from the junction with Englands Lane, extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of South Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.38) Order 2025.

On 7th October 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Houghton Regis: -

1.  Tithe Farm Road, west side, from the junction with Churchfield Road, extending in a northerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

2.  Tithe Farm Road, west side, from the junction with Churchfield Road, extending in a southerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3.  Churchfield Road, both sides, from the junction with Tithe Farm Road, extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Kensworth: -

1.  The Chilterns, south-west side, from a point in line with the common boundary between the garage belonging to No. 39 The Chilterns and the boundary fence of the property and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 18 metres.

1.  Mentmore Crescent, both sides, from the junction with West Hill and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

2.  West Hill, south side, from the junction with Mentmore Crescent and extending in a north- easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3.  West Hill, south side, from the junction with Mentmore Crescent and extending in a south- westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of South Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.37) Order 2025.
