HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILL LANE, THERFIELD)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Therfield from its junction with The Causeway north eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS
IN ROYSTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Poplar Drive, Royston from its junction with Garden Close north westwards to its junction with Garden Walk, a distance of approximately 91m.
An alternative route will be via Garden Close, Icknield Way and Garden Walk.
2. that length of Dacre Green, Royston from its junction with Newmarket Road north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Icknield Walk, a distance of approximately 127m.
An alternative route will be via Newmarket Road and Icknield Walk.
3. the road situated between Nos.16–26 Stake Piece Road, Royston from its junction with Stake Piece Road south westwards for its entire length.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE WESTBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING ONTO NEWMARKET ROAD, ROYSTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the westbound slip road leading onto Newmarket Road, Royston from its junction with A505 Royston Bypass north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Newmarket Road, a distance of approximately 142m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A505 Royston Bypass, A10 Melbourn Road and Newmarket Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
