TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE 400124 ROCKS ROAD (LYDBROOK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400124 Rocks Road and footway from its junction with Orchard Road to its junction with School Road for a distance of approximately 72 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for footway resurfacing works.

The said road and footway are expected to be closed from 20th October 2025 until

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400165 HOLLY LANE
(WEST DEAN PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400165 Holly Lane Road from outside of the property known as ‘Home Farm’ to outside of the property known as ‘Amberley’ for a distance of approximately 275 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of the National Grid.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 22nd October 2025 to 1600hrs on 28th October 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400004 SEDBURY LANE
(TIDENHAM PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400004 Sedbury Lane Road from outside of the property known as ‘Cranmere Bungalow’ to along side of the Farmers Gate on the other side of the NWR Bridge for a distance of approximately 220 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for maintenance of NWR Bridge.

The said road is expected to be closed from 23:00hrs on 25th October 2025 to 07:00hrs on 26th October 2025 And 23:00hrs on 1st November 2025 to 07:00hrs on

2nd November 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

its junction with Springmeadow Forest Road to junction with Wesley Road for a distance of approximately 3.22 kilometres.

The reason for the said closure is for tree felling and vegetation works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C2 ROAD FROM A48 TO CROSS HILL (TIDENHAM PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C2 Road From A48 To Cross Hill from its junction with the A48 to outside the Church for a distance of approximately 190 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for ditching works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH GDY 41
(DYMOCK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as highway authority, has made an Order Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of Public Footpath GDY 41 (Dymock) from its junction with GDY 40 and then extends in a general south westerly direction for approximately 290 metres to its junction with Crawford Lane.

The Public Footpath falls within the Dymock Parish in the Forest of Dean District, Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to a dangerous bridge.

The Public Footpath was originally closed for 21 days, by Emergency Notice from

5th September 2025, and extended by another such Notice, for a further 21 day period, from 26th September 2025. The works are still ongoing, and it is therefore now necessary to make a closure Order.

The said Order shall come into operation on 17th October 2025 and authorises the closure of Public Footpath GDY 41 for up to six months from the date of the original Notice which was 5th September 2025. If the problem continues after this time, then it will be necessary to make an application to the Secretary of State for an extension.

The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS
(VARIOUS TOWNS AND PARISHES) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for surface dressing related works.

The said roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing from

1st November 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. Some roads will be closed overnight and others during the day. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 1st January 2026, or until the said works have been complete.

The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

The said road is expected to be closed each day between 08:30hrs and 15:30hrs
