(COWDENBEATH AND LUMPHINNANS) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025

Fife Council propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a 20 m.p.h. speed limit on various streets in Cowdenbeath and Lumphinnans as follows: B981 Lochgelly Road/Main Street, Cowdenbeath from its junction with A909 to approx. 141 metres east of the extended east kerbline of Gagarin Way for approx. 805 metres; A909 Perth Road/High Street/Bridge Street, Cowdenbeath approx. 23 metres south of the extended south kerbline of Leuchatsbeath Drive to approx. 18 metres southeast of the extended southeast building line of no. 2 Birnie Ridge for approx. 1650 metres; Leuchatsbeath Drive, Cowdenbeath from approx. 12 metres north of the extended north kerbline of Craigbeath Court to its junction with Foulford Road for approx. 574 metres; Lochgelly Road (cul-de-sac), Cowdenbeath; Cedar Avenue, Cowdenbeath; Stuart Place, Cowdenbeath; Burgh Road, Cowdenbeath; Stein’s Place, Cowdenbeath; and Park Avenue, Cowdenbeath for their entire lengths; and all roads constructed or to be constructed within the new development site south of B981 (west of Lumphinnans Primary School).

Objections to the proposals, stating the grounds of objection and the objector’s name & address, should be sent to Traffic Management, Roads & Transportation Service, Bankhead Central, Bankhead Park, Glenrothes, Fife KY7 6GH or by e-mail to traffic.management@fife.gov.uk by 06/11/25.
