What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

FOOTPATHS 107 & 120 BLACKBURN

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using the footpaths referred to in the Schedule below to facilitate drainage works for the new housing development adjacent to the Public Rights of Way.

The Order becomes effective on 16th October 2025 for a period of six months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

There is no alternative route in place during the closure of these footpaths.
