What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6021 KENNETT ROAD AND U6025 THE STREET, HERRINGSWELL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• U6021 Kennett Road, Herringswell from the junction with The Street for 600 metres southbound

• U6025 The Street, Herringswell from the junction with Kennett Road for 800 metres eastbound

This is to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Herringswell Road, Higham Road, Icknield Way, the B1506, Herringswell Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 04/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6029 CHURCH LANE, BARTON MILLS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6029 Church Lane, Barton Mills from the junction with Grange Lane for 50 metres southbound to facilitate replacement of sluice valve. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Bell Lane, Newmarket Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 15/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE A1141 WATER STREET, BRENT ELEIGH ROAD, LAVENHAM ROAD, MONKS ELEIGH ROAD AND THE STREET, LAVENHAM, BRENT ELEIGH AND MONKS ELEIGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• A1141 Water Street, Lavenham

• A1141 Brent Eleigh Road, Lavenham

• A1141 Lavenham Road, Brent Eleigh

• A1141 Monks Eleigh Road, Brent Eleigh

• A1141 Brent Eleigh Road, Monks Eleigh

• A1141 The Street, Monks Eleigh

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1141, A1071, the A134, the A1092, the A1141 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 17/10/2025 from 7pm - 5am with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7058 LADYS GREEN, OUSDEN

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7058 Ladys Green, Ousden from 300 metres east of Bury Road for 200 metres eastbound to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1063, Cemetery Road, Coltsfoot Green, Ashfield Green, Wickhambrook Road, The Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 17/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 16B, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 16B, Leiston from Red House Lane to Seaward Avenue to facilitate surface improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Red House Lane, Garrett Crescent, South Close, Seaward Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U512 HIGH BAXTER STREET, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U512 High Baxter Street, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Brentgovel Street to no. 8 to facilitate demolition works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hatter Street, Churchgate Street, Guildhall Street, Westgate Street, Crown Street, Angel Hill, Northgate Street, Looms Lane, Brentgovel Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 24/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2409 NORTH GREEN, KELSALE CUM CARLTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2409 North Green, Kelsale cum Carlton from 140 metres north of the junction with Triggins Lane for 40 metres northbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Triggins Lane, the B1121, the A12 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 15/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3610 SCHOOL LANE, UFFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3610 School Lane, Ufford from 35 metres south of the junction with Crownfields for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Avenue, the B1438 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 15/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3126 VICTORIA ROAD, A1021 ORWELL ROAD AND U3126 COBBOLD ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U3126 Victoria Road, Felixstowe from Cobbold Road to Hamilton Road
  2. A1021 Orwell Road, Felixstowe from Hamilton Road to Ranelagh Road
  3. U3126 Cobbold Road, Felixstowe from Hamilton Road to Ranelagh Road

    This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion routes will be:

    1. Cobbold Road, Ranelagh Road, Hamilton Gardens, Hamilton Street and vice versa
    2. Ranelagh Road, Hamilton Gardens, Hamilton Road and vice versa
    3. Cobbold Road, Hamilton Road, York Road and vice versa.

      It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 15/10/2025 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

      TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1066 THE STREET, MELFORD ROAD AND THE ROW, BOXTED AND HARTEST

      Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

      • B1066 The Street, Boxted from Tittle Lane to

      • Melford Road, Hartest

      • B1066 Melford Road, Hartest

      • B1066 The Row, Hartest

      This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

      Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

      The diversion route will be the B1066, the A143, the A1302, the A134, the A1092, the B1066 and vice versa.

      It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 14/10/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

      TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C704 BRETTENHAM ROAD, BUXHALL

      Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C704 Brettenham Road, Buxhall from Leffey Barn for 200 metres westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

      Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

      The diversion route will be Purple Hill, Buxhall Road, the B1115, Brettenham Road Hitcham and vice versa.

      It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/10/2025 - 24/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

      TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C486 MILL LANE, CREETING ST PETER

      Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C486 Mill Lane, Creeting St Peter from Access Road from C486 to Hill Farm to Flint Hall to facilitate telecommunications works to replace and reinstall telegraph poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

      Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

      The diversion route will be Gateway Boulevard, the A1120, the A14, the A140, Kettle Lane, the B1078 and vice versa.

      It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/10/2025 - 24/10/2025 from 9:30am - 3:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

      TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C544 TANNINGTON ROAD, BEDFIELD AND WORLINGWORTH

      Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C544 Tannington Road, Bedfield from the junction with Southolt Road to Tannington Road Worlingworth and the C544 Tannington Road, Worlingworth from Swan Road to Tannington Road, Bedfield to facilitate construction of a passing place. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

      Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

      The diversion route will be Southolt Road, Mill Road, Shop Street, Church Road, Church Street and vice versa.

      It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 24/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

      TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C906 BLUNDESTON ROAD, CORTON

      Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C906 Blundeston Road, Corton from Salix for 30 metres westbound and 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

      Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

      The diversion route will be the B1375, the B1074, the A12 and vice versa.

      It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/10/2025 - 18/10/2025 but, if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

      TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND REVERSAL OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE U6168 BON MARCHE AND U6153 BEACH ROAD, LOWESTOFT

      Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6168 Bon Marche, Lowestoft from Suffolk Road to Beach Road to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

      Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

      The diversion route will be Battery Green Road, Old Nelson Street, Artillery Way, St Peters Street, Katwijk Way, Bevan Street West and no vice versa.

      For the duration of this closure there will be a reversal of the one-way provision on the U6153 Beach Road, Lowestoft

      It is intended that these measures will operate from 13/10/2025 - 18/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
