TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TR020880 – Parr Green Lane in Malpas

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Malpas to enable Bridge works to be carried out by Colas Ltd (Cheshire West and Chester Council).

Parr Green Lane – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 27/10/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 4 to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via:

High Street, Wet Lane, Tilston Road, Worthenbury Road, Wet Lane, Church Street, Tilston Road, Wrexham Road, Parr Green Lane, Wrexham Road, Worthenbury Road, Church Road Go east on Parr Green Lane toward Horton Green Lane (548.56 metres) Continue forward on Church Road (1827.46 metres) Turn right on Malpas Road (154.80 metres) Continue forward on Wet Lane (3103.45 metres) Bear right on Tilston Road (1900.14 metres) Continue forward on High Street (83.70 metres) Continue forward on B5069 (High Street) (129.14 metres) Turn right at B5395 to stay on B5069 (Church Street) (6132.25 metres) Make a sharp right on Frog Lane (368.86 metres) Continue forward (268.25 metres) Continue forward on Worthenbury Road (2521.63 metres) Turn right on Parr Green Lane (965.22 metres).

TR08454 – Overleigh Road in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable utility works to be carried out by Cadent Gas.

Overleigh Road – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 25/10/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 9 days to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TR08455 – Willington Road in Tarvin

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Tarvin to enable sewer repairs, works to be carried out by United Utilities Water.

Willington Road – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 27/10/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 12 days to complete.

TR021020 – Love Street in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable Signals Improvement works, works to be carried out by Colas.

Love Street: Love Street, Chester – one-way closure – no through route for buses – bus lane suspended – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 18/10/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately five weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Foregate Street, Grosvenor Park Road, Union Street.
