Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
Barden Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barden Road, Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Greenacres, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barden Road, Speldhurst Hill, Penshurst Road, Poundsbridge, Poundsbridge Lane, B2176 Penshurst Road, Barden Road and vice versa.
Conghurst Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 5DP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Conghurst Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 4th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Larches. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Conghurst Lane, A268 Rye Road, A229 Highgate Hill, A229 Moor Hill, A229 The Moor, B2244 Hastings Road, Conghurst Lane and vice versa.
Field Green & Sponden Lane, Sponden, TN18 5NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Field Green & Sponden Lane, Sponden, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Field Green will be closed in the vicinity of Field Green Oast. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Field Green Lane, Foxhole Lane, A268 Rye Road, A268 Megrims Hill, Sponden Lane and vice versa.
Sponden Lane will be closed from the junction with Field Green to in the vicinity of Field Green Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sponden Lane, A268 Megrims Hill, Sponden Lane and vice versa.
Kings Toll Road, Pembury, TN12 7HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kings Toll Road, Pembury, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Romford Road and the junction with B2160 Maidstone Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, Bramble Reed Lane, Romford Road and vice versa.
Kingswood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kingswood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Rosset Holt. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A228 Pembury Road, Bayhall Road, Kingswood Road and vice versa.
Longfield Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Longfield Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 7th November 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Lamberts Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Longfield Road, Dowding Way, Lamberts Road and vice versa.
Lower Green Road, Rusthall (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water asset repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Green Road, Rusthall, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Little Garth. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Green Road, Broomhill Road, Speldhurst Road, Etherington Hill, Lower Green Road and vice versa.
Queens Road & Silverdale Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, NO RIGHT TURN, NO LEFT TURN & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Queens Road & Silverdale Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 24th October 2025 for up to 17 days or until the works have been completed.
Queens Road will be closed from the junction with Upper Grosvenor Road to outside property number 133. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There will be no right or left turn into Queens Road via Upper Grosvenor Road.
There will be no right turn into Queens Road via Stephens Road.
All parking bays to be suspended within Queens Road from junction of Upper Grosvenor Road to 163 Queens Road.
Silverdale Road will be closed from the junction with Queens Road to the junction with Stephens Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stephens Road, Upper Dunstan Road, Dunstan Road, Upper Grosvenor Road and vice versa.
Staplehurst Road, Sinkhurst Green, TN17 2ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Staplehurst Road, Sinkhurst Green, on or after 7th November 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Pillar Box Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Staplehurst Road, Headcorn Road, The Street, Cranbrook Road, Frittenden Road, Common Road, Frittenden Road, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, Frittenden Road and vice versa.
Western Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electrical ducting installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Western Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 6th November 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with St James Road to the junction with Quarry Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Quarry Road, St James Road, Western Road and vice versa.
