Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
A20 London Road, West Malling, ME19 5AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 London Road, West Malling, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 237, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.
A25 Maidstone Road, St Mary’s Platt, TN15 8JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow bridge survey, drainage and CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A25 Maidstone Road, St Mary’s Platt, on or after 9th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 01:00 9th November 2025 and 04:00 10th November 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A25 Maidstone Road, Station Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A20 London Road, Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
A25 Maidstone Road, Wrotham Heath, TN15 7SN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow for new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on A25 Maidstone Road Slip Road, Wrotham Heath, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The slip road will be closed in the vicinity of Forge Cottages, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout and vice versa.
B2246 Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, ME20 7PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2246 Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the southern junction of Richard Corben Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The weight restriction on Hermitage Lane will be temporarily suspended to allow HGVs continued access to their premises during the closure. Access will be maintained for blue light vehicles.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2246 Hermitage Lane, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2246 Fountain Lane, B2246 Hermitage Lane and vice versa.
Danvers Road, Tonbridge, TN9 1TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PROHIBITION OF PARKING & SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Danvers Road, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
Danvers Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Holford Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Parking on Danvers Road will be prohibited between property numbers 35 and 41. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way order on Danvers Road will be suspended to allow for access.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holford Street, Barden Road, Danvers Road and vice versa.
Lower Street, Hildenborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow a new electric supply to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Street, Hildenborough, on or after 9th November 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Reams Farm Cottages and Dove Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Street, Rings Hill, Philpots Lane, Lower Street and vice versa.
Lucks Hill, West Malling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Hill, West Malling, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of More Park Catholic Primary School. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lucks Hill, Winterfield Lane, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street, Swan Street and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Wouldham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wouldham, on or after 4th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ringshill House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Burham Road, Wouldham Road, Rochester Road, High Street, School Lane, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.
Rochester Road, Aylesford, ME20 7BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow speed reduction cushion replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Aylesford, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Pratling Street to the junction of High Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Bull Lane, High Street and vice versa.
Snodland Road, Snodland, ME6 5GW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Snodland Road, Snodland, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Mary Last Close. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hollow Lane, Malling Road, A228 Snodland By-pass, A228 Malling Road, A228 Castle Way, Leybourne Interchange, A228 Leybourne By Pass, Birling Road, Bull Road, Snodland Road and vice versa.
St Leonards Street, West Malling, ME19 6PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new gas service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Leonards Street, West Malling, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 115. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Leonards Street, High Street, Town Hill, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, King Hill, St Leonards Street and vice versa.
Tonbridge Road, East Peckham (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to impose a 30 MPH speed limit on part of Tonbridge Road, East Peckham, on or after 5th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
A 30 MPH speed limit will be imposed from Little Mill Cottage for a distance of approximately 257 meters in an East direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Uridge Crescent, Tonbridge, TN10 3BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uridge Crescent, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way order on Uridge Crescent will be suspended to allow for access.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Uridge Road, A227 Shipbourne Road, Welland Road and vice versa.
Vigo Road, Fairseat (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vigo Road, Fairseat, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Thanet Dene. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vigo Road, A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, Labour In Vain Road, Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted Hill and vice versa.
