What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(AMY JOHNSON WAY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1(a)) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers to facilitate carriageway construction works for the new Link Road. The effect of the Order will be to:
a. Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Amy Johnson Way between the junction with the Sentani Building entrance on the eastside of the Amy Johnson loop road and its junction with the Amy Johnson loop road located to the immediate south of the Sentani Building.
Note: At all times whilst the restriction is in place, access to Sentani buildings will be maintained. Vehicular access to premises shall be maintained wherever possible. Pedestrian access to premises shall be maintained at all times.
The proposed Order will commence on 03rd November 2025 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is anticipated that the works will take 89 days.
