What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL

(WARBRECK HILL ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to close a section of Warbreck Hill Road to allow for the replacement of gas mains on Warbreck Hill Road. The effect of the Order will be to:

a. Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Warbreck Hill Road between its junction with the roundabout at the Devonshire Road and Warbreck Hill Road junction and its junction with Antrim Road.

Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained at all times. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.

The proposed Order will commence on 03 November 2025 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 19 days.
