Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A20 Gorse Hill, Farningham DA4 0JU (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A20 Gorse Hill, Farningham, on or after 4th November 2025 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be suspended from outside Paygate Cottage for 100m in a northerly direction.
A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, TN13 1UY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a surface water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 136.
The alternative route is via A225 High Street, Pembroke Road, A224 London Road and vice versa.
B258 Top Dartford Road, Hextable, BR8 7SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B258 Top Dartford Road, Hextable, on or after 24th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 57.
The alternative route is via B258 Top Dartford Road/Barn End Lane/High Road/Church Hill A225 Hawley Road/Main Road/Dartford Road, A20 Main Road/London Road, B2173 London Road, B258 Swanley Lane/Main Road and vice versa.
B2211 Sundridge Road, Dunton Green, TN14 6HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of resurfacing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2211 Sundridge Road, Dunton Green, on or after 6th November 2025 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Morants Court Farm and 23, Turvins Farm.
The alternative route is via A224 Morants Court Road, A224 London Road, A25 London Road, A25 London Road Roundabout, A25 The Square, A25 Worships Hill, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Main Road, B2211 Chevening Road, B2211 Ovenden Road and vice versa.
Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1SP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Outer Cottage.
The alternative route is via Ashgrove Road, Weald Road, A225 Tonbridge Road, Oak Lane and vice versa.
Barnfield Road, Chipstead Lane & Witches Lane, Riverhead, TN13 2AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the implementation of a 20mph zone extension to include installation of upright signage and road markings, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Barnfield Road, Chipstead Lane and Witches Lane, Riverhead, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
Barnfield Road and Chipstead Lane will be closed for the entire length.
Witches Lane - only the layby will be closed.
The alternative route is via Witches Lane, A25 Worships Hill, The Square and vice versa.
Billet Hill, Ash, TN15 7HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a sewer connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Billet Hill, Ash, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Swan Farm House.
The alternative route is via The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Forge Lane, Crowhurst Lane, Billet Hill and vice versa.
Bower Lane, Eynsford, DA4 0HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane, Eynsford, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Windmill Cottage.
The alternative route is via Bower Lane, Pollyhaugh, St Martins Drive, Eynsford Rise, Station Road, A225 Station Road/High Street and vice versa.
Chipstead Park Close, Sevenoaks, TN13 2SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of works to lay 100m of water main and transfer 15 services, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Chipstead Park Close, Sevenoaks, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 47 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Church Road, Stone Street, TN15 0LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the installation of new Low Voltage electricity cables, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Stone Street, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 1 and 4.
The alternative route is via Church Road, Stone Street, Stone Street Road, Coach Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road/Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Church Road, Sundridge, TN14 6DH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of works to clear blockages located on an existing duct, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Sundridge, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Faraday House to A25 Main Road.
The alternative route is via Church Road, Penn Lane, New Road, A25 Main Road and vice versa.
Ensfield Road, Leigh, TN11 9AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ensfield Road, Leigh, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from approximately 40m north west of the entrance to Ensfield Farm.
The alternative route is via Ensfield Road, Hayesden Lane, B2176 Penhurst Road, B2176 Rogues Hill, B2188 High Street, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2027 Penshurst Road, Lower Green Road and vice versa.
Grove Road, Penshurst, TN11 8DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Road, Penshurst, on or after 24th October 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between B2188 Fordcombe Road and Blowers Hill.
The alternative route is via B2188 Fordcombe Road, Smarts Hill, Coldharbour Road, Finch Green, Grove Road and vice versa.
Hodsoll Street, Hodsoll Street, TN15 7LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of works to connect to an existing SEW main, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hodsoll Street, Hodsoll Street, on or after 5th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside of The Goslings.
The alternative route is via Rosemary Lane, Chapmans Hill, Wrotham Road, Hodsoll Street and vice versa.
Ide Hill Road, Sundridge & Sundridge Road, Ide Hill, TN14 6BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ide Hill Road, Sundridge and Sundridge Road, Ide Hill, on or after 23rd October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Newmans Rise and Church Road.
The alternative route is via Sundridge Road, Ide Hill Roundabout, Ide Hill Roundabout To Wheatsheaf Hill, B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road, Church Road and vice versa.
Mapleton Road, Four Elms, TN16 1PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mapleton Road, Four Elms, on or after 24th October 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Puddledock Lane and Obriss Lodge.
The alternative route is via Mapleton Road, B2026 Hosey Common Road/Main Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road and vice versa.
Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, TN13 2LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new electricity and water supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 23rd October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Jesters.
The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Grassy Lane, Hopgarden Lane, Ashgrove Road and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Kemsing, TN14 5QL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Kemsing, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 66.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Pilgrims Way East, A225 Station Road/Sevenoaks Road/Otford Road, A25 Seal Road/High Street, School Lane, Childsbridge Lane and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way West, Otford, TN14 5JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of SGN and South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way West, Otford, on or after 23rd October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Frog Farm.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way West, High Street, A225 Sevenoaks Road, A225 Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, London Road and Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.
Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, TN14 7NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the reconnection of an existing electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, on or after 4th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 1 Hunters Walk.
The alternative route is via Main Road, Cudham Lane South, Cudham Lane North, A21 Sevenoaks Road, Rushmore Hill and vice versa.
Rye Lane, Otford, TN14 5JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage works to prevent further flooding to the highway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rye Lane, Otford, on or after 3rd November 2025 for up to 17 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Pilgrims Way West to Willow Park.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way West, Telston Lane, Willow Park and vice versa.
Twitton Lane, Otford, TN14 5JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Twitton Lane, Otford, on or after 5th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Twitton House.
The alternative route is via Twitton Lane, Filston Lane, Pilgrims Way West, London Road, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, B2020 St Botolphs Road, A225 Dartford Road, A225 St Johns Hill, A225 Otford Road, A225 Sevenoaks Road, High Street, Pilgrims Way West, Twitton Lane and vice versa.
