What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
ASHFIELD ROAD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to close the section of footway linking Ashfield Road with Radway Close in order to install and joint a cable for a new connection to a car charging point located on private land. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of the footway linking Ashfield Road to Radway Close between its junction with Ashfield Road and its junction with Radway Close.
(b) Prohibit all pedestrians from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of the footway linking Ashfield Road to Radway Close between its junction with Ashfield Road and its junction with Radway Close. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 31st October 2025 and continue in force for six months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 6 days.
