Essex County Council

(Various Roads, (Turpins Farm) Frinton and Walton) (20mph Zone) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Orders under sections 84(1)(a) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Blackthorn AvenueFrom a point approximately 6 metres west from the centre of the junction with Elm Tree west for approximately 366 metres
Samphire WayFrom its eastern junction with Blackthorn Avenue, north then both east and west, for its entire length ending at its western junction with Blackthorn Avenue. (Approximately 106 metres)
Aspen CloseFrom its junction of Blackthorn Avenue, south then west for its entire length. (Approximately 105 metres)
Cherry AvenueFrom its junction with Aspen Close, west for its entire (Approximately 292 metres)
Jasmine CloseFrom its junction with Cherry Avenue south for its (Approximately 49 metres)
Bracken WayFrom its junction with Blackthorn Avenue north then both west and east for its entire length. (Approximately 121 metres)
Hazel AvenueFrom its eastern junction with Blackthorn Avenue north then west for its entire length ending at the western junction of Blackthorn Avenue. (Approximately 335 metres)
Rowan WayFrom its junction with Hazel Avenue north west then east for its entire length (Approximately 65 metres)
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 14 October 2025

Further details: If you need to view a hard copy of these documents, please call (or text) 07761 758317 to arrange a suitable time to inspect the documents quoting the below reference number. Documents can be made available for inspection 8.30am–5.30pm Mon–Thurs and 8.30am–5pm on Friday at Essex County Council, County Hall E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford, if so required. Alternatively, documents can be posted to you upon request.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Bromley Road, Lawford)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bromley Road, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Wignall Street to its junction with Chequers Road a distance approximately 2140 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd November 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2386955 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage and culvert repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via A137, B1352, B1035, A120 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Lavender Walk, Jaywick)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lavender Walk, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Broadway to its junction with Meadow Way a distance of approximately 150m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2384528 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Meadow Way, Willow Way, Broadway and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(St Helens Avenue, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Helens Avenue, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 10m north east of its junction with Totlands Drive for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd November 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG9FFN2R – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via St Helens Avenue, Ventnor Drive, Ryde Avenue, Totlands Drive and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Westcott Close, Clacton-On-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Westcott Close, Clacton-On-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Crome Road for a distance approximately 50m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd November 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG0FMP2R – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 16th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nayland Drive, Clacton-On-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nayland Drive, Clacton-On-Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 180m south west of its junction with Hadleigh Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th October 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG7W6H6J – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

No alternative route is available.

The Order came into effect on 2nd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
