Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, MAIDSTONE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT No.23) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to remove a section of single yellow lines and implement double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Maidstone:-

BEAVER ROAD – At its junction with Castor Park on the west side and northwest side remove 10 metres of the existing single yellow lines and replace them with double yellow lines.

A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined at Kent Highways & Transportation, Kent County Council, Kroner House, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, TN24 8XU by appointment booked through tro@kent.gov.uk or viewed online from 17 October 2025 at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations

THANET AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, THANET)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘), the Traffic Management 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce or amend waiting and loading restrictions double yellow lines DYL at any time on the following length of roads in Ramsgate, Thanet:-

TOTHILL STREET  - DYLs - (1) On both sides to the entrance to the Holiday Inn Hotel from the junction with Tothill Street for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the west side from the northern kerb entrance to the Holiday Inn Hotel for a distance of 6.5 metres in a northerly direction. (3) On the west side from the southern kerb entrance to the Holiday Inn Hotel adjust the existing lines to the new kerb line. (4) On the west side from the junction with Hadrian Road adjust the existing lines to the new kerb line and extend them by 30 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order was made on 16 October 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 17 October 2025.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

 

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

(VARIOUS ROADS, TUNBRIDGE WELLS) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024
(AMENDMENT No.13) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells:-

CHURCH ROAD – On the northeast side from its junction with Maidstone Road for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction. MAIDSTONE ROAD – On the west side from its junction with Church Road for a distance of 19 metres in a northerly direction.
