Pease Close Lane, Ayside - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(U5191 PEASE CLOSE LANE, AYSIDE)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5191 Pease Close Lane, Ayside from its junction with the U5190, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 115 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the U5190, A590, C5041 and the unrestricted section of the U5191 Pease Close Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 28th October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 week and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
