Back Lane, Burneside - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Back Lane, Burneside from its junction with New Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 270 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the C5057 New Road and the C5058.

The Order will come into operation on 29th October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 7 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
