Bishop Crispian Way - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Bishop Crispian Way) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.179) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th October 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
BISHOP CRISPIAN WAY (EASTBOUND)
From its junction with the entrace to St John's Catholic Cathedral car park to its junction with Unicorn Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate tree pruning works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th October 2025 to 31st October 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place from Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 15:30.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Queen Street, Wickham Street, Clock Street, The Hard, Queen Street, Alfred Road, Market Way, Hope Street Roundabout, Market Way, Market Way Roundabout, Market Way, Unicorn Road.
Pedestrian access will be diverted around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
