What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (A5086 GALLOWBARROW, COCKERMOUTH) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along that section of the A5086 Gallowbarrow, Cockermouth (west side) from a point 33m north of its junction with Station Road to a point 89m north of it junction with Station Road (opposite to the entrance to Fairfield Primary School).

The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required between 0900 - 1500 hours on 27 October 2025, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
