Tallentire, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2003 AND U2350 TALLENTIRE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. C2003 Tallentire, from a point approx 200m north west of its junction with the U2093, extending in an overall north easterly direction for approx. 240m; and
2. U2350 Tallentire, from its south western junction with the C2003 extending in an overall north easterly direction for approx. 330m, to its north eastern junction with the C2003; and
3. C2003 Tallentire, from its north eastern junction with the U2350, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 220m, to its junction with the U2094.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C2003, C2001 Row Brow, C2008, A594 Dovenby and the C2038.

The Order will come into operation on 28 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
