ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

The City of Edinburgh Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 redetermining the roads described in the Schedule hereto. The title of the Order is “The City of Edinburgh Council (Fountainbridge Area, Edinburgh) (Redetermination of Means of Exercise of Public Right of Passage) Order 202-” - RSO/22/13. A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plans showing the roads over which the means of exercise of the public right of passage is to be redetermined, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order and our privacy notice can be viewed free of charge, between 9:30 to 15:30 Mon-Fri from 10/10/25 to 07/11/25 at Waverley Court Reception or online during the same period at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders and www.

tellmescotland.gov.uk. Any person may, within 28 days from 10/10/25 object to the making of the Order by notice, quoting reference RSO/22/13, in writing to Traffic Orders, Waverley Court, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG, or by e-mail to TRO.Consultations@edinburgh.gov.uk. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. All that part of the footway on the south-east side of the traffic island on Fountainbridge opposite Semple St, from 3.8m north-east of the intersection of the extended south-east kerbline of Fountainbridge and the extended north-east kerbline of Thornybauk, north-eastwards for 13.8m and which has a width that varies from 0m to 1.5m. Fountainbridge: 1. All that part of the carriageway on the south-east side of Fountainbridge that extends from the intersection of the south-east kerbline of Fountainbridge and the north-east kerbline of Thornybauk, north-eastwards for 52.5m and which has a width that varies from 0m to 1.1m; 2. All that part of the carriageway on the south-east side of Fountainbridge, south-west side of Thornybauk and the northeast side of Ponton St, from 4m south of the intersection of the extended south-east kerbline of Fountainbridge and the extended south-west kerbline of Thornybauk, northwards for 4m then south-westwards for 23.2m and which has a width that varies from 0m to 4.2m; 3. west side of Ponton St and the south-east side of Fountainbridge, from the north-west kerbline of the vehicle entrance to No.3 & 5 Ponton St, north-westwards then southwestwards into Fountainbridge to 17.05m south-west of the intersection of the extended south-west kerbline of Ponton St and the extended south-east kerbline of Fountainbridge and which has a width that varies from 0m to 4.6m; 3. All that part of the south-west side of Ponton St and the north-west side of West Tollcross, from the south-east kerbline of the vehicle entrance to No. 3 & 5 Ponton St, south-eastwards and then south-westwards into West Tollcross to 14.5m south-west of the intersection of the extended south-west kerbline of Ponton St and the extended north-west kerbline of West Tollcross and which has a width that varies from 0m to 6m. 1.All that part of the south-west side of Lochrin Ter and the south-east side of West Tollcross, from 8.6m south-west of the intersection of the extended south-west kerbline of Lochrin Ter and the extended south-east kerbline of West Tollcross, north-eastwards for 8.6m and then 31m southeastwards and which has a width that varies 0m to 5m; 2. All that part of the carriageway on the north-east side of Lochrin Ter (Thornybauk) and the south-east side of West Tollcross, from 14.7m south-east of the intersection of the extended north-east kerbline of Lochrin Ter (Thornybauk) and the extended south-west kerbline of West Tollcross, northwestwards for 14.7m then north-eastwards to 10.4m of the said intersection and which has a width that varies from 0m to 3.7m. Lochrin Ter – Central Traffic Island:1. All that part of the carriageway on the north-east side of Lochrin Ter, southeast side of West Tollcross and the south-west side of Thornybauk, from the apex of the most south-eastern extent of the traffic island at West Tollcross and Lochrin Ter, northwestwards for 44.7m, then north-eastwards for 21.6m and then south-eastwards to 12.9m south-east of the intersection of the extended north-west kerbline and the extended northeast kerbline of the said traffic island and which has a width that varies from 5.9m to 0m.
