What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING,
LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING
PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 202_ - TRO/22/23 The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to: 1. Introduce 24hr waiting restrictions/loading prohibitions which shall replace various sections of waiting restrictions and/or loading prohibitions that operate at various times on Fountainbridge, Ponton St & Semple St; 2. realign daytime and 24hr waiting restrictions/ loading prohibitions on Lochrin Ter/Thornybauk & West Tollcross including a residents’ bay on West Tollcross; and 3. introduce 24hr waiting restrictions on West Tollcross. Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed online at streets.appyway.com/ edinburgh-city, from 10/10/25 to 31/10/25 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference TRO/22/23 or at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Documents can also be viewed at Waverley Court Reception, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link referred to above, or state their reasons in writing quoting reference TRO/22/23 to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 31/10/25. Objections should state the name and address of the objector. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any specific location/s or element/s of the proposal, it would be helpful if you could identify them in your submission.
