U70409, Walford, Herefordshire - Temporary Road Closure due to Tree Maintenance Works
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U70409, Walford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U70409, Walford, approximately 138m north of the junction with Walford Bridleway 70. Grid Ref: 359613/22042. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U70409 onto the U70414 onto the U70416 onto the C1275 onto the B4234 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to tree trimming works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 6th of November 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day (9.00-16.00hrs).
