Cullingworth Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL CULLINGWORTH ROAD, CULLINGWORTH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Cullingworth Road, Cullingworth intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Cullingworth Road from its junction with Hallows Park Road to its junction with Sutton Drive.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Cullingworth Road (unaffected section), Halifax Road, Bingley Road, Hill End Lane, Long Lane, Wilsden Road, Harden Lane, Main Street, Haworth Road, Lane Side, Haworth Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on the 20th October 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 20th October 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
